ABOUT THE TURTLE ISLAND SERIES

Our resources include a series of seven books that are based on important development themes and center around loved Mi’gmaq inspired characters.

The Turtle Island stories are a book series developed by Ksalsuti to support the social and emotional wellbeing of youth from Kindergarten to Grade 2. The Turtle Island stories are set in the traditional territory of Turtle Island, and the characters are animals that exhibit characteristics of the Wabanaki Indigenous culture.

Each book includes a care-giver guide, teacher’s guide, and student handbook. Our resources can be used for in-classroom learning or at home.

Our books focus on relevant topics, chosen based on clinical experience working with children.
